Position Overview:

Phillips-Medisize, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing floor.

Shift: 12 Hour Rotating Nights - This is a 12 night shift, 5 p.m.-5 a.m., that includes working every other weekend, and having a 3 day weekend off alternating weeks! Work 4 nights one week (8 hours overtime built into schedule!) and 3 days the next! Work 15 days/month for fulltime pay!

Essential Functions:

  • Install, set up, and troubleshoot molding machines, auxiliary equipment and assembly equipment

  • Diagnose malfunctions through use of proper test equipment

  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on all injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment and assembly equipment

  • Participate in problem solving and process improvements on existing and new equipment

  • Perform work on electrical circuits, not to exceed a Class 1 per NFPA-70

  • HVAC, compressed air, chilled water, and heat pump maintenance

  • Barrel and screw measurement, service, and maintenance

  • Ensure adherence to all OSHA and Phillips-Medisize safety regulations and guidelines, and reinforce these requirements to peers

  • Ensure maintenance responsibilities are covered for production needs on off shifts

We are currently building our in-house procurement staff and are looking for a talented New Product Development Sourcing Engineer (Sr Buyer) to join our team. If you are looking for a way to accelerate your career and be part of a great company, this may be the opportunity for you.

In this role you will have the opportunity to manage our new product BOM cost across the Transportation Industrial Solutions (TIS) division. As an engineer of New Product Development Sourcing, you will be responsible for Sourcing, project planning and management, executing sourcing events, developing BOM cost models and regular reports to management. As an engineer of New Product Development Sourcing, you support market analysis and RFI process to find potential new suppliers in low cost countries. Developing new strategic suppliers in low cost country is an important business imperative and this role is key to achieving this goal amongst supporting new product lunch goals such as new business win rate and costing accuracy of products.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with Molex design teams throughout Product Development process to manage BOM cost through Product Launch

  • New product supplier identification, sourcing, selection and contracting for the TIS division

  • Bring Design to Value (Manufacturing, Quality, Cost, etc.) viewpoint to Product design team

  • Conduct should-cost and make vs. buy analyses to support sourcing decision

  • Aggressively negotiate terms as required and in accordance with internal policies

  • Negotiate legal terms under the guidance of the internal legal support team

  • Improve New Product Sourcing processes and increase efficiencies by partnering with technical design teams

  • Apply appropriate category strategies (Metals, Plastics, Electronics, and Outsourcing etc.) to new product sourcing needs

  • Proactive supply risk management in the new product development process

  • Monitor sourcing and procurement innovation trends in the marketplace

EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline

  • 5 + experience in the direct spend sourcing and procurement function focused on electrical and mechanical component (passive devices such resistors capacitors, inductors, diodes, and/or pcb’s)

  • 1+ years experience interpreting blueprint specifications and drawings

Preferred

  • 1 years’ experience in New Product Development or New Product Introduction Sourcing

  • Software sourcing and procurement

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and drive accountability

  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels within the organization as well as deliver oral presentations on moderately complex subject matter

  • Demonstrated experience driving cross functional collaboration across business units and geographies

  • Travel Up to 15%
