The World Wide Infusion Specialty Disposables Business Group (WWISD). WW ISD is a $1.3B business group comprised of 6 businesses: IV Line Access, Gravity and Syringe Delivery, Hazardous Drug Safety, US and Alaris System Infusion Pump Sets, OUS Infusion Pump Sets, and OEM.

The $270M global IV Line Access (IVA) platform is the largest of the Medication Delivery Systems (MDS) platforms within WWISD and is focused on the globalization of clinically differentiated devices to protect patients across care settings by reducing the risk of catheter-related complications. The portfolio includes the first and only device in the global category to include an on-label infection (CLABSI) reduction claim.

The Associate Director role is accountable for driving business of the IVA portfolio globally with a specific focus on evolving current go-to-market strategies in emerging markets through the development of new business models and product lifecycle strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with regional marketing teams in emerging markets to develop and implement commercialization strategies including the development of unique value offers and/or business models to focus efforts and drive sales.

  • Successfully manage all aspects of an established portfolio of products with expected double-digit growth driving over $150M in global revenue each year.

  • Develop clear product lifecycle strategies based on rigorous customer insights and a keen understanding of external trends, ensuring alignment with cross-functional and regional partners.

  • Lead the development of a digital strategy for the IV Line Access business to enable new customer engagement channels and ensure consistent, sustainable customer access.

  • Lead the creation of a global pricing strategy for the IV Line Access business to ensure optimal value capture and profitability.

  • Provide leadership to regional teams transitioning out of historical competitive contracts to ensure a detailed plan is developed and executed.

  • Create and manage the Global Market Atlas Portal for the IVA business to ensure consistent communication of evidence and messaging across the IVA portfolio.

  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, evidence and guideline changes; creating proactive strategies to drive a positive impact.

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of customer needs and clinical application in the IVA space.

  • Ensure full integration and strategic alignment into all BDX solution development teams to ensure appropriate emphasis exists on the IVA portfolio.

  • Liaise with third party suppliers and vendors as required.

  • Display credibility by demonstrating subject matter expertise to diverse audiences (R&D, manufacturing, sales, regulatory, legal) to build confidence and motivate successful execution.

  • Effectively manage a team of 1 – 2 junior level associates; providing regular coaching and development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or Technical Discipline

  • 8+ years of experience in marketing or business development

  • Medical device industry experience preferred

  • Ability to use sound, independent reasoning and judgment to establish work priorities and identify ways to optimize project timelines and to mitigate project risks/delays.

  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines in an environment of competing priorities. Proven ability to work in high-paced environment and routinely work on multiple tasks with multiple people while effectively prioritizing.

  • Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills

  • Ability to work independently and with others in a fast-paced, results oriented environment

  • 25%+ global travel required (contingent on travel policies)
