Sr Functional Designer Preferred Qualifications The Product & Team Textura Payment Management (TPM) is used by hundreds of thousands of construction organizations to manage the invoicing and payment processes on construction projects. Over $9B in payments are processed each month across the US, Canada, UK, and Australia. TPM is a core product of Oracle’s Construction & Engineering Global Business Unit (CEGBU). The TPM Product and Development teams are centered in Chicago with team members across the US and world. The Role As a senior functional designer, you will act as a product owner for TPM and the center of collaboration between clients, UX, agile teams (dev & QA), and deployment teams. The product team is the central resource and driving force for the design, manufacturing, test, and quality from deliverable conception to release. You’ll be successful if you collaborate effectively, problem solve, and communicate clearly to different stakeholders. In this role you will: + Meet with internal client services group and customers to understand customer problems or to present solutions. + Communicate domain knowledge to and work with product, UX, and delivery teams during solution development. + With Dev & QA managers, lead the sprint activities of an agile delivery team. + Articulate and adapt requirements before and during development with client services and delivery team members. + Coordinate deployment and release processes with relevant teams. + Review content for internal or customer help or enablement. Knowledge & Experience Essential + Business analysis or product management experience – functional analysis, requirement definition, user story articulation. + Familiar with Agile approaches, design, engineering and testing methodologies. + Experience in B2B / Enterprise markets. + Clear verbal and written communication with different areas of the business and customers. + Able to work with incomplete information and comfortable with uncertainty. + Engage in continuous process improvement. + Able to manage multiple parallel initiatives and stakeholders. + Able to work with User Experience teams and have an empathy for good design. + Understand product strategy vision and connect product capabilities to opportunities + Define, track and measure success metrics + Assess severity of bugs, provide progress updates, and identify risks. + Maintain a product roadmap and team backlog including defining delivery milestones. + Comfort with varied and complex tasks which require independent judgment. + Experience as project lead or supervising lower level personnel. + Comfortable working with local and international virtual teams. Desirable + Software-as-a-Service experience + Knowledge of construction industry stakeholders or business processes + Experience developing and conducting adoption or usage analysis + Working with globally distributed teams. Qualifications & Previous Experience + BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. + 2-4 years of software engineering or related experience. Detailed Description and Job Requirements Work as part of a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget. As a member of the product development division, you will define product specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities. Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes.
