Wolters Kluwer Senior Financial Planning Analyst in Springfield, Illinois
Wolters Kluwer Tax and Accounting division is looking for a Sr. Financial Analyst for our office located in Tampa, Florida or to be remote based.
As the Senior Financial Analyst , you will be responsible for reporting, budgeting and forecasting, along with financial analysis projects and providing reports to many levels within this global organization. In this role you will report to the Finance Associate Director of Financial Planning & Analysis. To be successful in this position, you must be detail-oriented, well-organized, analytical and a problem solver. You must be willing to play a critical role in progressing Wolters Kluwer ARC’s planning & reporting capabilities. You will primarily be working within the divisional and corporate Hyperion/HFM reporting and planning environments. In this role, it is expected that you will have a balanced blend of strong analytical and data skills, along with solid accounting and communication skills.
Create and/or maintain financial models and schedules for TeamMate management
Interpret and analyze complex management information and recommend solutions to problems
Analyze Revenues, Cost of Revenues, Operational Expenses, and Headcount in comparison to approved planning/forecasting benchmarks
Complete ad hoc reports and financial analysis
Communicate clearly and effectively with other team members, team leaders and management
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for the annual budget and all other planning/forecasting cycle information for WK ARCUS, including preparation of detailed analysis of revenue, cost of revenues, operational expenses, and headcount
Responsible for developing and analyzing data used in short-term and long-term forecasting. Providing trend analysis of revenue, gross margins, operational expenses, and headcount
Primary liaison for financial modeling and analysis support for US based directors and managers
Develops and maintains financial models, applications and systems for assigned business unit and functions. This includes analyzing the needs and requirements to determine the most efficient application.
Provide support to the company in areas such as the development of Business Cases, Product Line Reporting and Product/Customer Profitability. This includes compiling information and making recommendations by providing alternate solutions to Business Unit Management.
Keeping abreast of Business Unit needs and translating these needs into information, which takes into consideration IFRS, thus allowing management to make sound decisions
Provide quantitative ad-hoc analysis and reporting for management
Assists with process improvement as it relates to areas of expertise
Communicates clearly and effectively with other team members and management
Maintaining workflow and priorities
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or related field
A minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Financial Analyst or in a similar role
Extensive knowledge of processes and business systems (SAP, Hyperion, and similar)
Strong computer skills including excellent proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel
Experience working with and communicating with all levels of management
Ability to develop appropriate recommendations and form solid judgments from historical data
