HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST

South suburban government social services agency seeks a full-time Human Resources Specialist to support the Human Resources department.' As an HR Specialist you will be an integral part of the HR team by assisting the department with day-to-day operations.
'
Responsibilities include:
'
+ Manage the development and maintenance of employee policies, handbooks, and printed publications. Act as an expert on HR policies and procedures and train supervisors and employees on the same.
+ Position description development and maintenance. Accurately align job duties with written position descriptions.
+ Oversight and administration of employee training and professional development
+ Annual Performance Management administration. Support the performance management process by training on the system, helping set goals, answering questions, ensuring participation
+ Database maintenance of multiple digital platforms
+ Support engagement activities and all HR projects or initiatives as needed
+ Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
'
+ 4-year degree or combination of comparable education and experience; at least 3 years of experience in Human Resources
+ Superb writing and communication skills
+ Advanced computer skills including experience with a variety of computer software applications including Excel, Word, Outlook and internet navigation
