Northshore University Hospital PC Technician - 2nd shift in Skokie, Illinois

We are currently seeking a PC Technician for our HIT department located at our corporate office in Skokie, IL. Hours will be scheduled Monday through Friday from 11:30am to 8pm or 12:30pm to 9pm, in addition to rotational on-call hours during the week along with very infrequent but occasional weekends. This is a field based position that requires routine travel to our various Medical Group offices across the Chicagoland area. This is a full-time position and is benefits eligible.
Inthis role, you will:
Install, move and maintain PC and other equipment, systems and related components such as monitors, printers, and other related devices. Provide general technical support for PC users.
Troubleshoot PC or technical communication (network) issues.
Install software or hardware.
Maintain and repair equipment.
Troubleshoot different computer, end point, printer, scanner issues.
Determine and install appropriate security measures.
Configure computer networks.
Provide technical support on-site or via phone or email.
Recommend hardware or software.
Assist in the maintenance of equipment and spare parts inventories.
Be capable of documenting procedures and steps for technical processes and other duties as assign.
Create detailed documentation.
Log all activities and communications for each work order ticket.
Configure network devices to the corporate domain.
Transport computer equipment to different facilities.
Support the latest version of Microsoft and MAC OS.
Two year work experience with computer equipment, software, and peripherals required
Associates degree preferred
Must possess a valid driver’s license along with a clean driving record the last three years
Experience with office/department moves, new software deployments and installations
