Sirius Computer Solutions Knowledge Manager - Process and Change in Rosemont, Illinois


Position Summary :

The Knowledge Manager – Process and Change is responsible for leading projects that support the knowledge management strategy for the company. In this role, you will primarily focus on developing and implementing processes, tools, and resources that will enable our client facing teams to be more efficient and consistent when delivering to our clients. In addition, you will work with business leaders to understand their needs, collaborate on solutions to address these needs, and build and implement the appropriate solutions.

The Knowledge Manager – Process and Change is a champion for knowledge sharing and collaboration within the organization. They will work with the KM team, the business, and Corporate IT to optimize our collaboration tools, fostering better communication, collaboration, and efficiency. This is a high-energy position that requires someone who is quick to pick up new skills and can work well with colleagues at all levels and positions in the organization.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with the business to support their knowledge management needs, ensuring alignment with business strategy and knowledge management standards

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, from leadership to consultants, in all business lines to design and implement solutions (process, tools, resources, etc.) that optimize usability and increase efficiencie

  • Influence, lead, and coordinate medium to large cross functional initiatives to support the knowledge management strategy

  • Implement techniques to drive adoption to changes implemented

  • Identify and communicate features and functionalities for effective use of collaboration tools

  • Provide training and create documentation in support of collaboration tools, processes, and technologies; provide functional end user support, when needed

  • Build new and strengthen existing relationships to ensure understanding of the business and their needs, and work closely with the KM team to share and address feedback

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field

  • At least five (5) years of work experience within a professional services firm, with a focus in consulting, process improvement, marketing, strategic planning, product development, and/or project management, to include:

  • At least three (3) years of experience related to knowledge management, content management, collaboration, or similar activities

Other Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to work with a highly interactive, fast-paced team as well as the ability to work independently

  • Proven proficiency using Microsoft 365 products, including SharePoint Online and Team

  • Proven experience leading initiatives to standardize process, tools, information, and other resources

  • Demonstrated project management skills

  • Extensive experience gathering feedback and requirements to develop solutions

  • Demonstrated ability to investigate problems, and be resourceful and effective in utilizing problem solving techniques

  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to explain complex concepts in layman's terms, through words and images

  • Proven presentation skills

  • Detail oriented

  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize workload

  • Responsive to client needs

  • Confident when engaging in difficult conversations with project teams and clients on issues, risks, and escalations

  • Demonstrated ability to establish positive working relationships and work as a team player in a consulting environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to use a structured change management approach when implementing solutions

  • Demonstrated ability to leverage stakeholder and impact analysis to help with the issue and risk mitigation activities on overall user/client adoption

Essential Functions:

This position exists to lead projects that support the knowledge management strategy for geographically distributed, international professional services practices. As such, overnight travel will be required to effectively support business needs and meet with internal customers and stakeholders.
