This position, within Electric Power Systems, is for a Senior Service Engineering professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise. Looking for a service engineering focal for an electric systems product line on a major commercial platform.

Maintains effective communication and frequent contact with key customers and field team members, performs highly complex diagnostic procedures, and prepares reports for the senior leadership team. Communicates technical information to key stakeholders and keeps key customers and field team members up-to-date on outstanding issues.

Primary Responsibilities:

Maintains effective communications with key customers and field team members to ensure product enhancements/improvements are complete and accurate.

Maintains frequent contact with key customers which requires a high degree of tact and courtesy.

Acts as the expert in product knowledge/subject matter.

Performs highly complex diagnostic procedures.

Prepares reports for senior leadership displaying interpreted test information to resolve design/system related problems and to ensure continuous improvement.

Communicates technical information to technical/non-technical stakeholders including senior leadership.

Ensures that key customers and field teams are kept informed on outstanding issues and recommends system enhancements, upgrades, or repairs.

Acts as customer and field service interface.

Drives improvements based on end user experience.

Performs corrective actions for field issues, special investigations, and product testing.

The Service Engineering function acts as the "voice of the customer" for promoting positive change to our products and processes.

The Service Engineer is expected to help drive special investigations internally and with partners, gather field data and assist in root cause analysis, corrective action plans, and implementation.

As a Service Engineer, the individual will effectively engage all aspects of engineering departments, suppliers, repair centers, engine/airframe manufacturers and aircraft operators.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of relevant experience


Advance degree and 5 years of relevant experience


In absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required

Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with electric systems, electronic products, software systems

Experience driving the development, planning, and implementation of timely and effective corrective actions for field issues involving electronic products

Experience with aerospace products/systems, electronic control system products

Aftermarket experience

Experience communicating with all levels of a technical organization
