UnityPoint Health Pharmacy Technician I in Rock Island, Illinois
The Pharmacy Technician I will assist registered pharmacists in providing pharmaceutical services to patients within the medical center including but not limited to: delivery of medications, stocking of automated dispensing cabinets, responding to nursing messages, performing inventory management activities, performing unit inspections, and answering phones. Pharmacy technicians are expected to demonstrate efficient time management, organization of work, and prioritization.

Receive medications into stock.
Performs non-sterile compounding and completes required documentation.
Prepare medication orders for pharmacist verification.
- Deliver and stock medications throughout the hospital.
Assess medication storage areas, identifying and replacing outdated and unusable medications.
Collect data, conduct quality monitors and complete documentation.
Education: High school graduate or GED equivalent.
Experience: Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.
License(s)/Certification(s): Pharmacy Technician license or eligible licensure in both Illinois and Iowa. Pharmacy Technician Certification designation is required within 12 months of hire.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Efficient time management and prioritization of work. Demonstrates accountability, flexibility, and teamwork.
Other: Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
