Metrology CMM Programmer
Provide precision inspection and testing services for initial component and product samples provided by suppliers.
This includes developing and validating standardized and or automated methods of measurement and inspection while working in conjunction with Metrology Engineers, Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs), Product Design and Development Engineers (PDD) and Blue Ribbon Teams (BRTs).
In conjunction, this role is responsible for implementing measurement methods and strategies to record and make accurate reports.
Lastly this role is responsible for archiving of all reported information such that the integrity of the Metrology Lab record is not compromised.

Experience with Zeiss
Experience with Calypso
Understanding of GD&T
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Programming Zeiss O-Inspect CMM using Calypso software. – MUST HAVE
Conducts inspection and testing of supplier samples
Performs detailed mechanical and visual inspections of part and products as instructed and in accordance part drawings, process route sheets, inspection instructions or other applicable documentation submitted through Metrology Lab workflow management system
Provided direct support to Metrology Engineers for development, testing and implementation of new measurement or inspection methods
Documents programming and setup instructions and train other Quality/Metrology Associates and Inspectors as needed
Archives reports and samples
Supports the development of Metrology Lab Procedures through validation methods to provide data with integrity for any properly recorded submissions Sets up inspection equipment and instructs Incoming Inspectors as required
Performs regular mechanical measuring equipment requalifications
Troubleshoots mechanical and software issues relevant to the CMM
Provides support for the maintenance of the calibration records database
