The individual selected for this position will:

This vacancy is for an Assistant Regional Director position in the *Chicago Regional Office *located in Oak Brook, IL.
This is a competitive temporary promotion opportunity not to exceed (NTE) 5 years. This temporary promotion may be terminated earlier or made permanent at management's discretion. At the conclusion of the temporary promotion, the employee will return to their position of record.
A supervisory probation period may be required.
Relocation expenses may be paid.
The work schedule for this position is Mixed Tour. With a Mixed Tour work schedule, an employee may be changed between full-time, part-time and intermittent work schedules to accommodate fluctuating workloads and is subject to a signed agreement.

Experience for this position includes the overall management and oversight of office operations and programs that directly impact the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of an organization, multi-region programs, and headquarters-wide operations; providing administrative and technical guidance to subordinate staff working on data collection and processing efforts for large-scale surveys; assessing program effectiveness and developing plans to improve operations and reduce overall costs; developing and maintaining a wide variety of outside contacts with local civic associations, businesses, and other community-based organizations.
