This job was posted by : For more information, please see: Medline Industries has an immediate need for a Manager Product Complaints based out of our corporate headquarters in Northfield, IL. The Manager of Product Complaints will be responsible for managing the compliance and customer experience for the complaint process for assigned department(s). We are seeking a dynamic, hard-working professional with a desire to work for a fast-paced, large corporate organization. In addition to solid leadership ability and analytical skills, you must have a "roll-up your sleeves" attitude.

+ Manage and direct day to day activities to enable the optimum performance and productivity of the complaint process.

+ Achieve results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring and appraising job results. Encourage employee contribution using a framework that includes goal setting, feedback and performance review.

+ Empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals. Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among complaint coordinators.

+ Maintain schedules for complaint coordinators to assure adequate staffing. Plan and allocate resources while meeting departmental productivity standards and quality goals.

+ Maintain transparent communication with the team. Appropriately communicate information through one-on-one meetings.

+ Identify and manage the execution of continuous improvement projects to enhance quality, efficiency, and productivity of the complaint handling process. Collaborate with Divisional QA as needed.

+ Conduct business decisions that are financially responsible, accountable and justifiable in accordance with organization policies and procedures.

Management Responsibilities include:

+ Day-to-day operations of a group of employees.

+ May have limited budgetary responsibility and usually contributes to budgetary impact.

+ Interpret and execute policies for departments/projects and develops.

+ Recommend and implement new policies or modifications to existing.

+ Provide general guidelines and parameters for staff functioning.

+ Hiring staff, recommending pay increases, performing performance reviews, training and development of staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies

+ Bachelor's degree OR High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 6 years of product complaint resolution experience.

Relevant Work Experience

+ At least 4 years of product complaint resolution experience.

+ At least 2 years of experience managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating and directing people as they work.


+ Experience processing all relevant details, understanding and prioritizing their importance and drawing clear and concise conclusions.

+ Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.

+ Experience with analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.

+ Experience taking the steps to ensure the assignment/project is accomplished within tight timeframes.

+ Experience with MS Office Suite and SAP.



+ Bachelor's degree.

+ At least 2 years of experience managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating and directing people as they work

+ Experience in Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Food, Cosmetic, or Personal Products Industries.
