The RN Resident at Linden Oaks works under the direct supervision of a nurse preceptor, renders nursing care for assigned patients in accordance with professional nursing practice and physician and/or APC treatment plans in order to provide quality patient care.

Required Education and/or Experience:

  • Baccalaureate Degree or higher in Nursing

  • On rare occasions an internal candidate with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing may be considered if they are currently enrolled in an advanced degree course of study in nursing. The RN must obtain a Baccalaureate Degree or higher in Nursing within two years of date of transfer to RN position. Only candidates strongly recommended by their Director and who have been evaluated as a top performer will be considered for this position.

Required Certification and/or License:

  • Documented proof of passing the NCLEX and Illinois RN license application upon position start date. State of Illinois RN license must be obtained within 90 days of position start date. If the State of Illinois RN license is not obtained within 90 days of position start date, employee will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination.

  • Current CPR issued by the American Heart Association

  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification within 90 days of hire

Preferred Certification and/or License:

  • Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse license
