Entry level position into the safety profession. Understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge of those principles to comply with regulatory agency and company standards for injury and illness reporting requirements necessary to document incidents.


Works with employees and assists supervisors and others on injury prevention by identifying and correcting potential safety and health hazards as well as identifying unsafe actions in order to eliminate on the job injuries and illnesses. Assists in developing recommendations for safety processes/programs to attain and sustain a hazard free workplace. This includes design and evaluation of components to monitor effectiveness. Conducts audits to verify compliance to required regulations and company policies and then assures management is aware of items identified for proper and corrective actions. Develops, directs and may conduct safety presentations and training. Analyzes appropriate Environmental Health Safety (EHS) functional reporting metrics to identify opportunities for improvement. Reviews new products, equipment, processes and facilities for potential hazards and compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards; making recommendations if necessary prior to introduction. Communicates and works with safety equipment suppliers. Specific Position Requirements

1st shift Safety Coordinator will provide interpretation, analysis, and support of programs or related projects which support the health and safety management system for the Parts Division for our distribution and manufacturing operations in the USA. In addition, you will:

Participate in the design, implementation and continuous improvement of processes to reduce workplace hazards.

As needed, interact with external agencies as the agent of the unit in both a strategic and tactical role.

Serve as the primary person responsible or primary point of contact for managing safety and health programs and compliance at a unit

Lead/Conduct incident investigations and ergonomic reviews and assists in determining effective corrective action.

Compile and analyze necessary data, documentation and correspondence to comply with safety regulations and health and safety management system requirements.

Develop recommendations for health and safety processes/programs to meet the client health and safety standards and comply with applicable laws and regulations.

Participate in unit strategic planning process.

Manage and review safety recordkeeping per OSHA guidelines and internal processes and procedures.

Coordinate safety audits and risk assessments to identify noncompliance with client standards processes and applicable laws and regulations.

Manage corrective action and preventative action processes.

Review new processes, equipment and assets for potential hazards and compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. Make recommendations if necessary prior to introduction.

Respond to internal and external questions and requests for information relevant to safety and health issues from acquired knowledge and experience.

Develop, direct and may conduct safety presentations and training.

Experience with occupational safety a plus OSHA ten hour card or thirty hour would be beneficial any certifications for OSHA training will be helpful as well


MS office productivity tools, email, run a spreadsheet.. no need to have advanced knowledge of excel Will be working in a warehouse and will be driving a cushman (similar to a golf cart), will be walking, standing, kneeling, possibly crawling, lots of movement will be working in conditioned and non-conditioned air, nothing extreme. Internal metatarsals required may have to wear gloves while on the floor and safety glasses
