+ Plans, organizes, directs and controls the activities of all department personnel to promote a safe and secure environment for Gottlieb Memorial Hospital Develops and implements programs that identify, evaluate and control security issues. Provides direct monitoring of security services including personnel, equipment, technology, training and education, crime and loss prevention programs pursuant to government mandates and regulatory standards setting agencies, the Illinois Criminal Code plus conformance with The Joint Commission, IDPH and other regulatory agencies.
The Manager Security GMH provides security services to the Loyola University Health System by collecting and analyzing security data to determine risk and crime patterns and recommending equipment and procedures to decrease security risks. Plans for and supervises the installation of new security equipment and systems; maintains and services current equipment and systems. Determines need for, develops and conducts training to promote security awareness and decrease risk. Assists investigator in the follow up of security incidents as needed and assists security sergeants and officers to ensure provision of quality services.
Minimum Education: Required: Bachelors Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education Preferred: Masters Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education Specify Degree(s): Security Administration, Law Enforcement Administration or Criminal Justice Administration
Minimum Experience: Required: 6-10 years of previous job-related experience Preferred: 10+ years of previous job-related experience Details: Experience as a Security Manager or in Law Enforcement Management, Commander, Sergeant,etc.
Managerial Experience: 3-5 years
Details: Proficency preferred in training, budgeting, hiring, directing, motivating, team building for efficiency and effectiveness.
Licensure/Certifications: Required: CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) Valid Illinois State Drivers License
