Transdev Tax Analyst in Lombard, Illinois
Overview
Under the direction of the Tax Manager, this position is responsible for the tax return compliance filings of the company, as well as other tax administrative requirements. The position interacts internally with various levels of financial, operational, and legal personnel and externally with state and federal tax authorities. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, collaboration, organizational, and tendencies for process improvement skills are highly desired.
Responsibilities
Prepare federal and state income tax returns and supporting workpapers and various other tax compliance filing requirements.
Prepare federal and state estimated tax and extension payments.
Assist in year-end income tax provision preparation
Participate in the administration and defense of all federal and state tax audits and inquiries.
Research tax matters and communicate results.
Assist Tax Manager as needed.
Maintain internal tax calendar of compliance due dates and other important tax dates.
Other duties as required.
Qualifications
Education, Licensing, and Certifications :
This position requires bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent professional experience
Master’s in Taxation is preferred
Experience :
Field and years of experience required: 1-3
Experience preferred: Public accounting experience a plus
Skills and Knowledge Required:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience with tax research software
Experience with OneSource Income Tax software a plus
CPA or CPA candidate a plus
Microsoft Office software
