Role Summary

n n

The position will support the Aviation-Connectivity arm of Global Eagle. The focus is on maintaining and enhancing network security for the aviation connectivity production and lab networks. The security goals include compliance with SOX and PCI certification requirements and audits; customer, partner, vendor, and internal penetration scans and tests; incident response; and monitoring the latest threats and protective technologies.

Key responsibilities

n n


+ Implement and maintain network and server security for the Global Eagle production connectivity network.? Responsibilities will include:

n

+ Stay up to date on effective security measures and processes pertinent to the Global Eagle network;

n

+ Maintain awareness of vulnerabilities and remedies affecting our equipment and protocols;

n

+ Support security testing and audits from customers, prospective customers, and partners;

n

+ Implement effective SIEM system for aviation network;

n

+ Support incident response efforts;

n

+ Recommend and implement actions nee ed to maintain network security.

+ Participate in development and management of GEE production network elements and connections, including teleport hardware such as switches, servers and firewalls.Work with partners such as Hughes and SES to ensure network robustness and compatibility.Manage Lombard lab networks for robustness and access from other GEE locations.

+ Cisco switch configuration and management;

n

+ Management of Red Hat and Centos teleport servers and VMs;

n

+ Management of Checkpoint firewall policy;

n

+ Deployment of equipment for new teleports.
