Job Description:

Cerner Corporation is currently hiring an Area Practice Manager for our on-site health centers with Union Wellness Centers in the greater Chicago area! Our health centers have a proactive, educative approach where patients are motivated to adopt healthy lifestyles and practices.

As the Area Practice Manager, you will provide strategic direction, administration, and both clinical and operational management to our multiple health centers in the Chicago area. Your responsibilities will include managing the Health Center Managers and providing oversight of the collaborating Physicians; ensuring standard operating and clinical policies, procedures and patient care workflows are followed; assisting in maintaining an effective client relationship to ensure client satisfaction and revenue retention; evaluating patient care needs and suggesting solutions to patient care crisis problems and complaints; and ensuring associates meet required regulatory compliance competencies. Your people management responsibilities will include delegating work appropriately, providing clear expectations and follow up to ensure progress; leading by example and sharing knowledge and experiences with your team; creating a respectful work environment where you advocate for your team, create accountability and recognize their accomplishments; and promoting and building a diverse cohesive team to accomplish objectives and align skills to fill gaps. Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Clinical Studies, Health Care, Nursing, or related field, or equivalent, relevant work experience

  • At least 5 years of health care operations management, licensed health care practice, or health care work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing multiple clinics/health centers

  • Clinical license/training (RN or NP preferred)

Expectations:

  • Willing to travel up to 50% of the time as needed

  • Must be willing to work on a flexible schedule, overtime or irregular hours when needed

  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned

  • Must live in or near the Chicago metro area
