Our benefits team is looking for a Benefits Specialist. To be successful in this position, you must have strong customer service, analytical and problem solving skills. You must also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.

Summary: In this position, you are responsible for the administration of employee benefits, as well as acting as the primary contact for all benefit-related questions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Act as primary contact for employee benefit questions and supporting new hire education.

  • Handle FMLA and other Leaves of Absence administration.

  • Process benefit enrollments, status changes and terminations in Workday.

  • Plan and coordinate wellness activities.

  • Maintaining benefit files.

  • Other duties as needed/assigned.

Qualifications include:

  • A minimum of 2-4 years administering employee benefits in Human Resources is required.

  • HRIS system experience, including understanding of HRIS functionality, data entry and system audits is required.

  • Prior experience in Workday, a plus.

  • Must have knowledge of federal and state laws governing benefits including, but not limited to, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, other state leave laws, etc.

  • Experience in benefit programs, policies and practices, including interpretation and compliance.

  • Computer proficiency including MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.

  • Ability to work independently, organize and prioritize work.

  • Strong decision-making skills, including recognition of when to escalate issues.
