As a CIT Trucks Service Foreman, you will be expected to:

  • Organize, lead, and control the flow of service work through the department.

  • Ensure quality repairs at a fair cost to the customer.

  • Communicate effectively with customers.

  • Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines.

  • Assist technicians in developing their skills with the support of the Service Manager.

  • Maintain technician efficiency and productivity goals established by management.

  • Ensure departmental compliance with all safety protocol and company policies.

  • Complete performance evaluations of the Service Department on an ongoing basis, reviewing strengths and weaknesses of all technicians.

  • High school diploma or equivalent and minimum 3 years’ experience in retail service industry preferred

  • Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and DOT medical card

  • Ability to supervise, manage, advise, train, develop, and appraise work assignments of personnel.

  • Comprehension of basic software applications related to diagnostics, engine parameters, and product preference guidelines

  • Initiative to gain sufficient knowledge required to advise customers regarding equipment specifications and engineering of products and components to meet customer needs

  • Dedication to building long-term customer relations with a proven ability to lead and motivate

  • Outgoing personality and strong interpersonal skills with a focus on superior customer service

  • Professional attitude and appearance with a strong work ethic

  • Desire to set and attain goals while conducting business honestly and with integrity

  • Agricultural or mechanical backgrounds have been proven beneficial
