Robert Half Salaried Professional Service has an immediate need for a full-time Staff Accountant. As a Staff Accountant, you will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. You must have advanced Excel skills, and should be proficient with an ERP package such as SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle or MS Dynamics. Should have an adaptable personality and enjoy working with new people in new environments.

o You are paid a competitive salary- you tell us your annual compensation requirements in order to commit to us as a full-time employee

o You receive our full benefits package- including medical, dental, vision and 401k

o You receive just over 3 weeks of paid time off in a calendar year- including all major holidays, floating holidays and Choice Time Off accrued at 2.0 hours per week

o You are an hourly employee- you are paid for the hours you work, with a guaranteed minimum 37.5, and receive overtime for anything over 40 in a week

o You receive salary continuation- you are paid 37.5 hours per week while between engagements

o Your average project length is 3 to 6 months - about a third of our projects are 1 year or longer, with the current longest running project going on 5 years

Requirements

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines

• Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

• Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

• Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

• Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

• Recent and relevant accounting experience

• Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

• Microsoft Excel experience highly desired

• Background working with JDE EnterpriseOne

• General familiarity with Year-end Close

• Earlier work involving Oracle

• Adeptness in account reconciliation

• Month end closings experience preferred

• Comprehensive knowledge of general ledger

• Good understanding of Oracle ERP

• Command of Accounts Payable (AP)

• Demonstrated knowledge of bank reconciliations

• Practical knowledge of variance analysis

• SAP experience highly preferred

• Previous experience working with Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics

• Strong familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Efficient in ERP systems

• Great attention to detail

• Distinguished analytical, quantitative and social skills
