Summary This position is located at Willow Glen Golf Club, Recreation Division, Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Department, Naval Station, Great Lakes, Illinois. The purpose of this position is to provide mobile canteen service to military and civilian personnel while they are on the golf course. Responsibilities This position is located at Willow Glen Golf Club, Recreation Division, Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Department, Naval Station, Great Lakes, Illinois. The purpose of this position is to provide mobile canteen service to military and civilian personnel while they are on the golf course. Operates a mobile refreshment/golf cart, selling a variety of packaged food, candy and beverages. Drives cart around the golf course, staying on designated route, ensuring all golfers are greeted in a friendly manner and offered an opportunity to purchase food and beverage items. Exercises proper golf course etiquette, making sure vehicle does not interfere with the player’s enjoyment of the game. Keeps products stowed for safety and security and also maintains an adequate stock at all times. Maintains inventory and informs management of items needing replenishment. Collects money for items sold. 5% Prepares Daily Activity Report for monies received. Maintains change fund. 5% Perform other duties as assigned. Receives supervision from the Operations Assistant, Restaurant Manager and/or Golf Course Manager. Must be 21 years of age in order to sell alcoholic beverages. Some cash handling and math skills required. Must be neat, clean and presentable in appearance.
