The ideal candidate will bring experience in developing organizations and talent, procurement, materials, lean manufacturing including high volumes/low mix and low volumes/high mix.
You will be responsible for leading the company’s day-to-day production operations, which includes multiple departments and locations. You will own defining operational strategies that align with the business, ensuring operational KPIs, managing to annual budgets, driving working capital goals and objectives, motivating and building/developing the teams, building a culture on the foundation of FBS (Fortive Business System) and ensuring operational compliance is followed.
Primary Responsibilities: •Measure the efficiency & effectiveness of all processes (budget, KPIs, and management, etc.), making changes as necessary •Have a vision for the company's operational success, including how to scale for strategic growth •Ensure the teams grow in alignment with our company values through clear communication of expectations, accountability, and hiring for fit •Coordinate cross-functional initiatives and projects •Translate customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes, resulting in cost-effective processing and profitable manufacturing of company products. •Develop employees across multiple segments including lean, technical, efficiency, safety and adherence to processes and procedures. ••Responsible for determining the need for labor, space, materials and capital equipment and provide cost analysis in justifying expense. ••Responsible Cost Center Management and associated operating margin expansion goals and objectives. ••Advocate on behalf of the manufacturing operations team with business unit and commercial leaders and partner with development teams to ensure timely, effective and quality new product introductions. •Strong communications with the global sales organization to ensure we are meeting customer expectations on delivery and revenue goals.
•8+ yrs. of progressive operations management experience in a continuous improvement and lean manufacturing environment •Cross functional management experience required; with experiences in manufacturing engineering, production operations, and various materials management roles desired •Experience managing >$50M operating budget •BS Degree Required, preferably in engineering or technical field; although others will be considered depending upon experience •Proven track record of delivering results in a fast pace, high energy environment
Desired: • Master’s degree in business or technical field a plus • Experience leading cross-functional, multi-site operations is a plus • Excellent communication skills, demonstrated change management, crisis resolution • Data and Fact-Based problem-solving skills • Lean Mfg./FBS/6 sigma knowledge desired
