We are searching for a passionate Territory Manager for our Southern Illinois Territory!

The Territory Manager represents Crop Protection to promote existing products and services and prepare customers for new technologies in an assigned territory. They are the primary contact with retailer accounts and their sales organization. This position cultivates relationships with key influencers in the territory, key retail sales personnel and others in agronomic leadership positions in the territory, and collaborates with the Pioneer seed field sales organization, and works innovatively in the territory to attain increased levels of support for crop protection products

Duties & responsibilities include:

  • Builds and maintains relationships with retail accounts inalignment with area sales strategies

  • Aligns sales performanceexpectations with retail accounts and delivers necessary technical skills andinformation

  • Collaborates with retail accounts toeffectively communicate and deliver the value proposition of crop protectionproducts and services to meet customer needs

  • Develops retail account plans tomeet territory financial goals

  • Educates retailers and keyinfluencers on the agronomic benefits of products and services

  • Actively gathers and communicatesmarket trends, retail account needs and product gaps allowing commercial teamto create or modify product offerings and marketing programs

  • Serves as voice of customercommunicating retail feedback to commercial team


Do you have the Qualifications we are looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in Agronomy,Business, Marketing required, will consider other degrees with relatedfield sales experience.

  • Minimum 2-5 years of marketing and/or sales experience

  • Agriculturalbackground and experience highly preferred

  • Agronomy knowledge preferred

  • Seed and/or crop protection experience beneficial

  • Proven capabilities in negotiating, influencing, conflictresolution, and overcoming objections

  • Passionate about building long term relationships withpartners and customers and to develop solutions to satisfy/retain.

  • Previousexperience managing budgets helpful

  • Proficientwith Microsoft Office
