Direct oversight of assigned production fill room, equipment preparation or glassware preparation employees. Carries out leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees. Must be able to perform simple math calculations. Must be able to solve problems, handle conflict, and make effective decisions under pressure.

nESSENTIAL LEAD TECHNICIAN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:n

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

n

+ Provide oversight of the Key Process Steps; i.e., equipment set up and alignment, defined line speed, hold times, machine prime, etc. In addition:


n

n

+ Media fill completed in strict adherence to the Batch Record and Media SOP requirements.

n

+ Validation run participation and sampling.


n

n

+ Perform on-the-floor batch record checks and verification of completion at the end of a fill, equipment preparation or glassware preparation process.


n

n

+ Submit completed executed batch records to production supervisor at the end of each shift.


n

n

+ Troubleshooting equipment, set-up and operational issues.


n

n

+ Elevate concern, issues to manufacturing management.

n

+ Support completion of any process related deviations.


n

n

n

n

nESSENTIAL PRODUCTION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:n

n

n

+ Workflow participation and coordination:


n

n

+ Set-up, operate, trouble shoot and preventative maintenance of solution filling lines, vial cappers, wash equipment, ovens, autoclaves and tray loading lines.

n

+ Perform fill weight checks, oxygen in headspace analysis and bottle torque checks on filled product containers.

n

+ Set up and perform sterile solution filtration processes.

n

+ Unloading sterilized equipment from autoclaves and depyrogenated glassware from ovens.

n

+ Maintain a clean and sanitary environment.


n

n

nADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:n

n

n

+ Participating in pre-FAT testing for new production equipment.

n

+ Supporting new equipment or process validation efforts.


n

n

nJOB PREREQUISITES:

n

n

+ Must be gown certified or have the ability to become certified.

n

+ Ability to meet attendance standards. All full-time employees are required to work a 40-hr week. At times it may be necessary to work additional hours in order to get the required tasks accomplished to meet deadlines.

n

+ Have the ability to make minor calculations. Performance which demonstrates leadership, motivation, teamwork, and eagerness to learn.


n

n

nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:n

n

n

+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

n

+ Experience in a manufacturing environment or advanced mechanical training is a plus.


n

n

n

+ 1st Shift Production Schedule is Monday - Friday

+ Must maintain gown certification qualification within the first 90 days

+ Ability to interact with and lead peers and technicians; prior supervisory experience preferred
