Facebook Team Lead, Product Testing in Chicago, Illinois

The PSO New Products team is seeking a Team Lead who is passionate about testing and launching Facebook's newest business and marketing solutions for Commerce Products. This lead is responsible for bringing operational strategy and process to both monetized and non-monetized product testing, ensuring that new features and products are ready for scaled release. This role will also be responsible for growing and developing a dynamic team by providing mentorship, guidance, and career development. The ideal candidate will be strong at cross-functional communication and project execution, knowledgeable about marketing, adept with Facebook's business tools (e.g. Ads Manager), and have an aptitude for measurement and data analysis. They will advocate for the team's goals while balancing the needs of their cross-functional partners in Product Marketing and Product Management. This Team Lead will also play an important role with the New Products' leadership team. They will have a responsibility to influence projects and drive alignment.

Required Skills:

  1. Develops a dynamic and diverse team by providing mentorship, guidance, and career development

  2. Leads a sub-function by showing complete ownership for vision, intent, goals, KPIs, roadmaps, etc.

  3. Conducts prioritization conversations with product teams ensuring their program managers are set up for success in working on the right set of product launches

  4. Evangelizes the team's efforts, communicates regularly (regarding critical fires, on-going issues, project updates, and other items) to keep necessary partners in the loop

  5. Work extensively with cross-functional partners - e.g. Product Manager, Product Marketing Manager, Marketing Science, and Data Science teams — in order to scope engagement models. Putting more process and structure in place (simple plug & play model for scale)

  6. Works closely with their own manager to share ideas, challenges, etc. and agree on strategies to remove roadblocks, improve on ideas, prioritize work for themselves and the team)

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Statistics, Economics, Business, or related field

  2. 5+ years of total working experience

  3. 1+ years of people management experience, with experience attracting and scaling teams

  4. 4+ years work experience in operations, analytics, consulting or equivalent environment

  5. 2+ years work experience in marketing digital campaigns

  6. Project management experience and experience running strategic projects with cross-functional teams

  7. Communication and presentation experience with proven track record of working with executive level leaders

  8. Knowledge of the advertising marketplace and ad products

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and unstructured problems

  2. Open, collaborative and proven team player, with an experience initiating and driving projects to completion with minimal guidance or support

  3. Experience leading data-driven projects and experience communicating the results and insights to cross-functional partners

  4. Experience contributing to both strategic and operational levels
