This job was posted by : For more information, please see: DescriptionRole: Issue Remediation Testing LeadLocation: Chicago (remote for now)*If you are interested, please email your resume to*Role Overview:The Issue Remediation Testing Lead- Tech & IS will be responsible for performing and leading issue remediation testing engagements based on the approved agreement by Management. The Issue Remediation Testing Lead- Tech & IS is accountable for developing testing plans against Management's Response/Action Plan for remediated issues including adherence with the internal and external policies and procedures and with the laws and regulations applicable to BMO Harris N.A. banking activities. The Issue Remediation Testing Lead- Tech & IS must focus on testing control activities within the first line of defense and work across applicable functional departments. The Issue Remediation Testing Lead- Tech & IS must ensure that all information is complete and falls within the parameters of company policy, and within the legal and regulatory lending requirements and practices.The Issue Remediation Testing Lead- Tech & IS will lead and manage issue remediation testing across a core group of functions in Technology & Operations as well as analyze data and recommend corrective actions and collaborate with Bank Management to determine the most appropriate course of action. The Issue Remediation Testing Lead- Tech & IS is responsible for writing the report and leading discussions with Management to communicate the results.Knowledge adn Skills:Knowledge:Prior experience in IT Audit testing in various tech and IS focused areas such as vulnerability and patch management, identity and access management, IT governance, cyber security, etc.Familiarity with IT management frameworks (i.e., COBIT, NIST, FFIEC IT Handbook).Four-year degree in business, technology or related field.3-5 years of controls testing experience required.Banking and/or financial services industry experience a plus.Skills:Strong understanding of processes, risks and controls.Strong analytical skills required with attention to detail.Strong problem solving skills required.Strong oral, written communication, and relationship building skills required.Planning/organizational/project management skills required.Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and people.Excellent judgment, logic and reasoning.Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification or similar certification preferred.Key Accountabilites:Issue Remediation Testing (IRT) EngagementsAssess risks and key controls in consultation with the business units (BUs) as it relates to issue re-tests of major/minor Corporate Audit Division (CAD) control deficiencies and matters requiring attention (MRAs).Develop design and operating effictiveness test plans for Management's response to remediated issues.Oversee and execute testing using general methodology in accordance with established procedures to perform, analyze, document and report results of all assigned engagements.Take personal accountability for decisions, actions and work product.Build, develop and maintain effective relationships with internal business partners / stakeholders for the purposes of enhancing team effectiveness.Drive positive change in Technology & Operations based on high quality work and thought leadership in the control testing approach.Review testing results and appropriately evaluate the design and operational effectiveness of controls/action plan validation.Identify and communicate control gaps and deficiencies in design and operating effectiveness of controls/action plan validation to the Associate Director of Issue Remediation Testing (IRT) and Manageme nt.Accountable for monitoring, tracking and reporting of control/action plan validation issues.Recommend improvements to policies, procedures and tools as needed to ensure effective and competitive operating environment.Validate and identify root causes of issuesProduce accurate reports, and communicate observations and findings with appropriate tone and prioritizationEnsure accurate and timely reporting to senior management and/or agencies.Lead discussions with Executive Management to discuss issues and recommendations.Maintain accountability for the completeness and accuracy of testing reports.EEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
