The Worldwide Commercial Business (WCB) Strategy team drives the development and execution of our commercial strategy and field operating model. This includes how the organization benefits customers and partners, enabling WCB to support them more effectively, efficiently, and with competitive differentiation. The team builds the connective tissue across WCB Leadership, GSMO (Global Sales and Marketing Org) and MCB (Marketing & Consumer Business) to gain alignment and leverage existing capabilities, while empowering our people to be nimble, agile, successful, and thrilled to work for Microsoft.

This is an extremely exciting opportunity to join the newly created WCB Strategy team. The WCB Strategy and Planning team will ensure that we have a quality process to define strategies with clarity. We will work to quickly establish a multi-year roadmap – planning priority initiatives based on impact, and our ability to execute and absorb change. Our team builds the connective tissue across our go to market teams to drive for alignment, and optimal field landing with our customers at the forefront. Responsibilities

The Business Program Manager role will be accountable for delivering strategic initiatives from scoping to completion. Establishing mechanisms to measure ROI and on-going effectiveness. Individuals must be capable of planning and delivering large, complex, and high-risk projects. Leading resources from across the company with clarity and energy and delivering results.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lead high impact, cross-org projects.

  • Help build our PMO infrastructure to support longer term strategic initiatives.

  • Ensure we have the right processes and measurements in place to both measure RoI and help set our future direction.

  • Collaborate and partner with segment teams, field sales leaders and product marketing to drive longer term strategy.

  • Create listening systems to ensure the right business challenges are identified and addressed.

  • Understand the project vision and timelines to ensure delivery happens in line with business requirements and manage communication within and across project teams proactively identify risks and mitigations.

  • Managing schedules for collaborating with team members to track milestone deliverables and drive project management.

  • Strategic thinking (long term, preventative risk mitigation) and orchestration of complex support planning

  • Proven track record of driving strategy and influencing senior leaders.

  • Strong organizational, cross group collaboration, project management, time management and negotiation skills

Qualifications

  • Communicating with clarity: Experience communicating complex, ongoing business data and insights across a large set of stakeholders and turning those insights into action.

  • Cloud business and market: Experienced in the development and execution of successful cloud customer and sales models and understand the market dynamics around customers moving to the cloud.

  • Creating alignment across organizations: Experienced working across different disciplines including finance, marketing, sales, and engineering to align to shared goals.

  • 5+ years industry or related project, process, program management experience.

  • Strong communication, community and program management skills and experience

  • Strong self-motivation andability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop communication strategy and execution plans.

  • Problem-solving ability, especially in gathering data to drive decision making under stringent timelines.

  • The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage ambiguity.

  • Strong oral and written communication,organization,and interpersonal skills

  • Highly adaptable, and strong collaborator, fierce advocate, and influencer

  • Experience of designing, building, and executing highly successful programs at scale.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
