Newly created opportunity in the expanding Web Marketing & Communications team!
This position is responsible for creatively managing social media accounts for Rush University to help heighten awareness of Rush’s colleges and programs, promoting researching, attracting top students and faculty members, and engage current students and staff. The specialist also works closely with Rush’s University Relations team and other stakeholders to execute the University’s marketing strategy. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and I CARE values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.
Position Responsibilities Include:
Create and share engaging content on University social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Maintain the University YouTube channel, uploading videos and adding SEO-friendly titles and descriptions and closed-captioning.
Monitor and respond to inbound messages during the work day and after hours as needed.
Track engagement metrics and report them regularly to Marketing, University and other stakeholders.
Work efficiently and effectively with a diverse group of clients across the institution to solicit engaging content and help promote University programs, services, activities and events.
As a member of the marketing communications team, assist on other department projects as requested.
Occasionally attend and cover events after normal business hours and on weekends.
Position Qualifications Include:
Bachelor's degree required.
Two years of demonstrated success in managing social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and YouTube.
Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills; familiarity with Associated Press style a plus.
Experience working collaboratively with other professionals to complete projects in a timely manner.
Excellent interpersonal skills; must be comfortable working with people at all levels of the organization.
Photography and video editing skills a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of multifunctional teams.
