It's a great opportunity for someone looking to continue their career in machining with a company that has plenty to offer in terms of competitive pay, best 1st shift hours, career advancement and an inviting place to work.CANDIDATE MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH BRAD & SHARPE SCREW MACHINEESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:Set up and operate single-spindle screw machines:Set up machine using correct tooling, fixtures, gearing, and inserts per Setup SheetsFollow step-by-step machine set up proceduresAdjust machine to correct speeds and feeds per Setup SheetsLoad bar stockInspect parts using gauges, calipers, and other measuring devices to ensure parts conform to Part Drawings and Setup SheetsPerform visual inspectionsChange tooling as requiredRemove chips from machine and place in scrap binEnsure machining operation is performed according to all documentation including the Work Order, Setup Sheets, Part Drawings, Machining Process Sheets, and Special Instructions (if applicable)Inspect machined parts to ensure compliance with company Quality standardsComplete applicable Work Order and Quality documentation and daily production reportsMaintain work area in a clean and neat manner ensuring all tools, fixtures, materials, and other supplies are cleaned and put away at the end of every shiftPerform routine preventative maintenance on screw machines as per scheduleKnow, understand, and comply with company Quality and Safety PoliciesTrain others as assignedDemonstrate teamwork and collaborationKNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:At least 1-3 years' experience demonstrating basic mechanical skills and ability to setup, operate, and adjust single spindle screw machinesHigh School diploma or equivalentRead, speak, and write EnglishBasic mathematical skillsRead and understand all documentation including Work Orders, Setup Sheets, Part Drawings, Machining Process Sheets, and Special InstructionsAble to identify and use all required Quality inspection tools including gauges, calipers, and other fixtures SCHEDULE:DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITYMon Fri, 6 am 2:10 pm
