The Senior Manager, Biotech Solution Development is an exciting, new role within Thermo Fisher Scientific's Corporate Accounts team. This role is remotely based, and is pivotal in executing Thermo Fisher's strategy for the global biotech market, specifically within the new and emerging customer base. This multifaceted and creative individual will develop and implement company-wide solutions that satisfy critical customer challenges (moments of truth) and drive customer intimacy and growth.

The Senior Manager, Biotech Solution Development will maintain close association and knowledge of customers and market trends in the biotech segment and will collaborate with multiple businesses across Thermo Fisher to bridge capabilities and build new company-wide solutions. They will operate in an intercultural, diverse, virtual, matrix environment, and will often have to ensure alignment in the face of competing interests and priorities.

The successful individual will have a dedication to teamwork and possess the skills to prioritize and lead multiple parallel projects, apply strong business acuity, and deliver outstanding communication and collaboration.

Remotely based in any major US city with a preference of the East Coast.

What will you do?

  • Drive growth through delivery of a minimum of two company-wide solutions per year and establish key performance indicators to measure the impact.

  • Launch a x-divisional solution development core team for the purpose of sharing standard solution development methodologies and building an overarching biotech solution road-map.

  • Establish mechanisms to enable sustainable development of cross divisional solutions and feedback loops to divisional partners.

  • Advance solutions articulated in the strategic plan, while continually evaluating and prioritizing new opportunities that arise.

  • Acquire support for proposed solutions through communications with divisions and executive leadership.

  • Collaborate with the commercial team for VOS and customer testing of solutions.

  • Partner with market development to assess solution opportunities using market intelligence, and VOC.

  • Ensure incorporation of solutions into marketing plans, and support development of selling tools.

  • Evolve the strategy for existing solutions based on market and sales feedback.

How will you get here?

  • Bachelor's degree required with MBA and/or advanced degree in Life Sciences, Engineering or a related field a plus.

  • 7+ years validated experience in product management, product development, marketing and/or business development.

  • Ability to work autonomously on projects of diverse scope and high complexity. Demonstrated ability to make sophisticated decisions factoring in multiple parameters from various fields.

  • Experience identifying and deploying strategic solutions, setting ambitious objectives, and driving key business priorities.

  • Ability to efficiently navigate a matrix management structure and partner seamlessly within the organization.

  • Experience collaborating with marketing and commercial teams to develop and execute on new go-to-market strategies.

  • Executive and technical presentation skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Up to 25% travel required both domestic and international.
