Federal Reserve Bank Senior Business Intelligence Analyst in Chicago, Illinois

Job Summary Drive decisions by providing advanced quantitative and qualitative data reporting of patterns and insights to decision makers. Collects, aggregates, and analyzes data from multiple internal sources to create advanced insights into performance. The level of work is advanced and operates with support. This job does not have direct reports.

Responsibilities * Provide guidance and produce applicable reports that show measurements, identifies areas of improvement for current operations, and displays root cause analysis of problems * Use advanced analytics and metrics to improve processes and provide data-driven forecasts of potential costs, risks, and benefits of new programs and strategies * Communicate complex findings and insights to partners and provide strategy recommendations for optimizing performance * Provide advanced reporting solutions and respond to ad-hoc report requests across multiple departments * Ensure compliance with deliverable reporting requirements by performing advanced quality data audits and analysis * Maintain business intelligence methods, databases, dashboards, tools or systems * May help design business intelligence reporting tools

Your Background Education and Experience * Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Mathematics or Business preferred or equivalent experience * 3 years of experience in data analytics * Advanced experience with business intelligence platforms (Tableau, Prism, Microsoft Power BI), data management platforms (SSMS, Informatica, SSIS) and SQL based language * Knowledge and hands-on experience with advanced analytical tools and programming language such as R, Python, SAS is preferred * Exposure to Workday and Ariba is a big plus * * Knowledge and Skills * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Excellent analytical and problem solving skills * Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage projects and time * Ability to work independently and on a team * Knowledge of basic financial concepts is a plus * Great attention to detail to ensure highest quality in reporting and analysis
