Aerotek Remote Billing / Follow-Up Representative in Chicago, Illinois

Description: Work From Home position

Work firsthand on actively reviewing patient accounts to ensure claim accuracy.

Identify and resolve claim edits through understanding of billing guidelines and payer requirements.

Proactively fix claim rejection errors and resubmit claims based on payer requirements.

Initiate contact and respond to inquiries from a various external sources.

Comply with all government and third-party payers regulatory mandated requirements for billing and collections.

Answer questions and assist patients in regard to billing issues as needed.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information under HIPPA guidelines.

Meet departmental productivity and quality standards in timeframe given upon completion of training.

Hospital billing, Insurance follow up, Revenue cycle, medicare, medicaid, denied claims, scrubbers, A/R, surgical billing, patient accounting, cerner millennium, RHC, medical billing, rejections, claims resolution, claims follow up, claims adjudication, Medical terminology, EHR, Claims appeal, Claim form, UB-04, Billing editor, collection, insurance, Claims processing administration and management software, Claim processing system software

Top Skills Details:

1-3+ years of billing / follow-up experience required.

Cerner Millennium experience.

SSI Claims Scrubber experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Experience with UB-04 claim forms.

Experience with patient billing editor systems.

Understanding of the entire revenue cycle process.

Surgical billing experience.

1-2 years of billing experience in a facility and hospital setting.

Knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare billing regulations.

MediCal (California Medicare) experience is a plus.

RHC background.

Ability to execute processes efficiently and maintain highest level of quality

Demonstrates ability to identify and communicate issues.

Computer literacy skills, including Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Office products

Enhanced communication and customer service skills.

Ability to be self-directed, coupled with exemplary time management skills and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks
