We’re looking for a passionate and energetic University Recruiter/Operations Specialist to join our U.S. University Recruitment team, based in our brand new West Loop Chicago Headquarters. This critical hire must be someone who can act as an ambassador for McDonald’s with University Recruitment stakeholders, always embodying a “can-do” customer-service orientation and enthusiasm to support the launch of this program. The Coordinator will play a crucial role driving administrative support for the team, ranging from travel coordination, event planning, scheduling, and logistics.

Minimum Requirements:

• Recent college graduates welcome!

• Exceptional problem solving, time management, and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment

• Execute multiple tasks simultaneously and cut through ambiguity

• Ability to develop strong relationships with candidates, recruiters, and hiring managers and their interview team

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to exercise tact, discretion and the initiative to efficiently meet the demands of multiple internal customers

• Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word etc.

• Prefer 2+ years of experience recruiting coordination, project coordination, event planning or admin experience in a fast paced customer-focused environment





• Under the team Manager, support university recruitment process improvement efforts, program roll outs, launch of new systems/processes, as well as assist in planning, implementation, and communication

• Facilitate recruitment of high-quality student candidates for McDonald’s internship program through scheduling, written correspondence, candidate hosting, on-site event planning, and team coordination

• Establish positive and proactive working relationships with hiring managers, their teams, and candidates, always ensuring an exceptional experience for the stakeholder involved

• Exceptional problem solving, time management, and organizational skills

• Ability to approach problems flexibly and demonstrate creativity in solving them

• Manage complex schedules through Outlook, while being able to deal with last minute changes on the fly

• Provide event planning and logistics support for university recruitment events

• Serve as a point of contact for candidates, educational institutions (career centers, departments, and student organizations) and the business
