Ratings Support Specialist

The Role:

As a Ratings Support Specialist in Ratings Support Services, you will play an integral role providing middle office support to our analytical staff throughout the rating process.

The Impact:

This role is key in providing superior support to our analysts and ensuring adherence to internal processes and procedures and regulatory requirements. Exceptional customer service to our external customers is a high priority.

You ll work with a highly skilled team of individuals and play a key role in the analytical support process helping to ensure analytical and operational excellence with a focus on risk mitigation. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our analytical staff and global RSS team.

The Team - The Business:

You ll work with the Team Lead and coordinate with other team members, including US and Global Operations members and Analysts.

You should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, customer focus, ability to work independently and strong attention to detail.

  • Work as a team to support timely rating action processing

  • Serve as the Records Management experts for the business.

  • Support ongoing records management activities, tracking and compliance.

  • Work with analysts to address any problems identified by Quality and provide feedback to Quality regarding implementation and practical considerations of policy compliance.

    • Participate on other ad-hoc projects related to quality - compliance - audit matters.
  • Support documentation of all compliance, policies and procedure related training.

  • Provide back-up to all other RSS coordinators whenever needed

  • Attend all compliance, policies and procedure related trainings

  • Assist analyst in Issuer correspondence as needed


  • The Ratings Support Specialist should be well-organized and detail-oriented.

  • They should have strong verbal and written communication skills with a particular focus on customer service orientation; they should be assertive in order to ensure compliance

  • The ability to effectively prioritize is a key competency required

  • Solid, demonstrable support experience required

  • College Degree

  • One year of experience, this can be internship experience.
