Kforce Project Manager in Chicago, Illinois

Kforce has a client in search of a Project Manager in Chicago, Illinois (IL).Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Work with internal stakeholders in accordance with existing processes to define clear scope, requirements, success criteria and benefits for projects

  • Create effective project and resource plans, ensuring costs/timescales are realistic and risk/issues are identified

  • Build, maintain and track detailed plans/burndowns for all project activity, reflecting progress and any changes to scope. Ensure that all categories of project costs are recorded and reconciled with Finance teams, so that a single agreed view of costs is maintained

  • Deliver projects to agreed success criteria

  • Agree internal project resource requirements and timescales with resource managers and manage the assignment and release of all project resources during the project; Ensure that any external resources required by the project are acquired and managed effectively

  • Provide leadership and communication required to maintain high level of confidence and morale in complex multiple stakeholder relationships from team through to Steering Group level

  • Accurately and regularly report project status to all stakeholders and Investment Management Office; Actively manage exceptions to plan and escalate appropriately

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject area

  • Experience of managing projects in a range of environments or sectors

  • Sound experience as a Project Manager (3-5 years as a guide) responsible for medium to large projects

  • Working across multiple time zones and offices

  • Proven track record of managing complex and senior stakeholder interactions

  • Building plans across multiple, disparate teams and obtaining agreement among senior managers

  • Efficiently execute projects, by tracking and adapting plans as necessary

  • Presenting to groups of internal stakeholders

  • Using common Project Management tools, especially MS Project, as well as proficiency in all MS Office tools
