POSITION SUMMARY:

CareAllies partners with health care providers to help them transition to value based care and improve their organization’s clinical and financial performance. The President of CareAllies will oversee the execution of CareAllies organization’s strategic and operational initiatives, product and market expansion priorities to insure revenue and customer growth as well as, profit goals are achieved. This role will have primary accountability for the CareAllies P&L and maximizing value creation for clients served. The role will oversee all operational functions for the core CareAllies business.

The President will lead teams to develop ACO, CIN, and IPA networks, supports the strategic vision of client provider organizations, implements programs to enhance quality & affordability, and manages the execution of key initiatives to achieve the overall financial results.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Oversees the overall business strategy and initiatives of the MSO organization in order to achieve annual business objectives, including but not limited to:

  • Creates and lead a team of direct reports and partners to create a seamless end-to-end experience of Physician engagement/Provider organization development.

  • Works with providers to help them succeed in Medicare Shared Savings Program ACOs, commercial ACOs and other value-based relationships.

  • Supports planning, evaluation, and implementation of key strategic and operational initiatives with focus on Provider Engagement market activities.

  • Supports the ongoing evolution of select existing solutions/products/capabilities.

  • Works with providers to redefine and streamline their clinical operations for success in value based care.

  • Leads implementation of programs to enhance quality and affordability.

  • Develops IPA networks, supports the strategic vision of partner IPAs, implements programs to enhance quality and affordability, and manages the execution of key market initiatives to achieve the overall financial results.

  • Leads the CareAllies leadership team to develop the CareAllies multi-year solution roadmap and owns roadmap delivery. Oversee the development and delivery of the strategic initiatives of the CareAllies organization.

  • Accountability for leading and developing the direction, evaluation, and coordination processes of the functions and activities across all of CareAllies to ensure strategic and operational objectives and results are in alignment with the overall strategic imperatives of the enterprise, and achieves expected revenue, growth, and profitability outcomes for CareAllies and its key payer clients.

  • In collaboration with the broader CareAllies leadership team oversees the integration of improvements, including employing enhanced capabilities into the overall integrated strategic value proposition. Act as key strategic thought leader along with CareAllies leadership in developing innovative, integrated offerings for the marketplace.

  • Development and management of intra-company service agreements within Cigna in alignment with enterprise strategy and scaled capabilities.

  • Communicate key information to stakeholders with respect to marketplace needs, the competitive environment, cost management, and client/customer and physician-focused services.

  • Develops and maintain collaborative partnership relationships with other operational areas across the enterprise and with strategic external partners to ensure a holistic approach to service to customers and meeting business outcomes.

  • Leads and manages the organization through major periods of change.

  • Builds and promotes an environment that represents and values all aspects of diversity.

  • Drives and leads employee engagement strategies to create and maintain an environment that motivates employees to achieve their full potential.

TECHNICAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Strong knowledge of network operations, strategy, structure, compliance and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS (i.e., preferred education, experience, attributes)

Strong business fundamentals and prior experience in Health Services are a requirement. Individual will have proven leadership capabilities, executive presence, outstanding communication skills and be proficient at driving change. This includes but not limited to:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred

  • 10+ years of strategic and operational experience in network operations or managed care environment.

  • Experience with Physician engagement/Provider organization development.

  • Experience in a complex healthcare delivery environment, including risk assessment and revenue optimization, financial management, quality management, risk management and business growth and development, for a large healthplan.

  • Strong analytical background, business oriented, strategic thinking capabilities and attention to detail, while maintaining a "big picture" view.

  • Significant experience in managing a P&L (with proven success).

  • Significant experience setting strategy for Physician Services, Health Services, Medical Coding, and designing models for effective improvement of clinical outcomes and cost management.

  • Demonstrated ability to think and act strategically from a value perspective and influence key leaders and matrix partners.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results with strong sense of urgency.
