Located in the northern part of Chicago, we are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, hands-on person Order Entry/Office Clerk to join our team.

The Order Entry/Office Clerk will assist the Customer Service team by entering orders and will provide support to the office and accounting teams.

Responsibilities:

The Order Entry/Office Clerk will provide support in various office related tasks and report directly to the Controller.

  • Facilitate and assist with various office functions such as Billing, EDI, office, Customer Service, Accounting and other projects assigned

  • Enter customer orders and assist with order paperwork flow

  • Check inventory for availability and shipping dates

  • Assist with maintaining/updating information in ERP system

  • Assist with return authorizations/customer returns

  • Organize and maintain office files; answer phones

  • Provide administrative support, including preparation of spreadsheets, and documents

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree preferred

  • At least 3 years of Clerical, Office Clerk or Order Entry required. Experience with Customer Service or Accounting a plus.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and strong computer skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Problem solver with the ability to utilize sound judgment and decision-making skills

  • Must be organized and able to multi-task with the ability to change direction quickly and often

  • Demonstrates an attention to detail and takes pride in work

  • Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
