Crate & Barrel Image Coordinator in Chicago, Illinois

So we can continue to help others love how they live in moments that matter, the iconic brand is looking for a driven and passionate professional to raise the bar and join our eCommerce department as an Image Coordinator in our Chicago, IL corporate office.

What you'll do...

  • Responsible for trafficking high volume image and video assets and archiving for multiple in-house studios that cover both the Crate and Barrel and CB2 brands.

  • Successful candidates will be a self starter that can prioritize multiple deadlines, maintain efficient workflows, be detail oriented and have the ability to pivot between different image trafficking systems, software and workflows.

  • Assist with photo studio asset management and workflow with file editing, organization and archiving.

  • Ensure files are packaged together with collateral information and according to specifications.

  • Participate in and delegate studio image management needs and oversee to completion including, naming, processing, file transfer, archiving and establishing or maintaining workflows for all digital assets (including folders and images).

  • Serve as a second eye to the AD and Photographer by regularly checking for focus, moire, color consistency, color balance, exposure, and masks.

  • Communicate with photo teams for process improvements, changes, or challenges.

  • Serve as the studio liaison to the Ecommerce Production Team to develop new processes, workflow efficiencies, troubleshoot as needed.

  • Stay current with updates to imaging technology or computing platforms as they relate to this field.

What you'll bring...

  • Bachelor’s degree in photography or related field

  • 1-2 years experience in a commercial photography studio with high volume asset management and digital retouching

  • High technical fluency in latest Capture One Pro, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Bridge, Premiere), FTP clients and data/asset management applications

  • Experience with DAM/Project management software such as Canto Cumulus and Workfront as well as image/video deployment software such as Scene7

  • Knowledge of cloud-based file transferring software such as Dropbox

  • Mid-Level image editing experience with Capture One Pro and Photoshop

  • High technical proficiency in latest Capture One Pro, Adobe Suite, and Mac OS

  • Excellent time management, written/verbal communication, and presentation skills

  • Proven ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines

  • Understand and practice sound metadata and file organization and transfer principles

  • General knowledge of video, image and other media file formats and quality measures

  • Troubleshooting technical issues with platforms and compatibilities

  • Understanding of color management policies and best practices

  • Knowledged with Google Suites and MS Office Suites

  • Good reading, written and verbal language skills (English)
