Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive pediatric counseling services

  • Participate in patient follow-up, monitoring and documentation for Lysosomal Storage Disorders clinic and registry

  • Coordinates specimen delivery with appropriate laboratories.

  • May be occasional travel to satellite clinics

  • Participate in self-or department-directed research projects and grants

Position Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling from the Accreditation Council for Genetic Counseling (ACGC) is required.

  • IL Genetic Counselor License

  • ABGC or ABMG Board Certified or eligible for certification

  • Mature and flexible practitioner with critical thinking abilities, the ability to function independently and demonstrate strong motivational, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
