Aerotek Forklift Operator in Chicago, Illinois


operating a sit down Toyota propane forklift with a clutch brake to transport unfinished and finished material

loading and unloading trailers

using RF scanner

each forklift is equipped with a touch screen computer to access where the products are

candidates are loading bundles of cardboard onto lines to be printed

will load 4-5 bundles at a time, get off the forklift, remove plastic wrapping and paper inserts from bundles, then go get more material

bundles do not have pallets

bundling cardboard can get overwhelming but will become very easy was trained

Machinery is very fast paced, need to get acclimated to speed. Once you have speed down path job will be easy. Candidates will pick up bundles of boxes WITHOUT skids/pallets. Will be trained and need to get used to it, machinery will send out bundles of cardboard, candidates will load and stage bundles and load and unload trucks, bring bundles to and from machinery to docks.

Not on FL all day, need to be prepared to get off and stage, wrap, unwrap, etc.

Very Fast Paced

2 openings on 3rd shift - both will train on 1st shift move to 3rd after 2 weeks

1st shift 6am-2pm

3rd shift Sun-Thurs 10pm-6am

1 opening on 2nd shift - train on 2nd


Pay is 17$
