About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking a talented individual to fill the role of Filtration Product Manager.
The Filtration Product Manager is responsible for driving the strategy and implementation of marketing and sales efforts for the Fluid Process SBU. This role will require strong coordination through the organization and working jointly with our key filtration suppliers while enhancing our product offering by attaining additional filtration suppliers for key markets.
Directly responsible for Filtration sales, development and training of sales teams, as well as communication of goals and objectives to internal resources
Develop a comprehensive market overview and sales plan including key customers to achieve sales growth objectives
Develop a comprehensive understanding of the products used within these applications and the associated market size
Develop and coordinate marketing and sales strategy to leverage the SunSource value-add solutions in these key customers and applications
Deliver results by showing the ability to identify and create opportunities, as well as set goals that deliver profitable growth
Maintain a general knowledge of developments with the Filtration market.
Engaging in regular weekly cadence call updates and any monthly or quarterly business reviews
Develop Complete Filtration Product Offering
Product and Technology to match market and & Application demand
Keep up with new products & Technologies
Identify Products needed to pursue Capital Opportunities
Help manage, maintain & grow Strategic Supplier relationships.
Work with key suppliers to drive their people and our people to partner and work together
Develop Strategic growth plan for Filtration Nationally across all market segments
Work with and through the Sales Teams & RSM's to drive sales activity & opportunities
Mentor and educate Sales Team with understanding where and how to sell Filtration through planning & targeting sessions
Product Selection to fill a need, solve a problem or displace a competitor
Travel to other regions nationwide for strategy, training and joint sales calls
Education & Training content development and facilitation
Content for Marketing Campaigns
Sales aid and tool development i.e. Reed construction, Project tracker, Filter xref matrices
Specific Skills Required
Experience with integrating marketing efforts and communications
Strong technical skills in Filtration applications
Ability to influence others through collaborative consensus building skills
Proven results developing strategies in a variety of the following areas:
Developing relationships at the executive level
Understanding how our technologies can apply to their operations
Develop the appropriate approach and strategy to win new business
Team facilitation skills and relationship building skills to foster engagement and an environment of teamwork and trust. Great communicator (phone, email, text, in person)
Enthusiasm and motivation essential while working in a fast paced, professional environment
Willing to travel as needed within the assigned region
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, sales or marketing
Experience: 6 + years of experience within the market space. Demonstrated understanding of Filtration systems and solutions within the commercial vehicle industry. The ability and read and interpret schematics.
Knowledge and Skills: Manage changing needs of Ryan Herco and the Fluid Process SBU by exhibiting flexibility; cognizant of need for speed to market. The discipline to remain focused on long-range strategy amidst short-term pressures. Ability to foster relationships and generate enthusiasm for the overall selling experience. Desire for long-term career in sales leadership and/or business development
