The Director, Data & Analytics is responsible for: managing ongoing data products and processes, creating new data products (for both internal and external consumption), and establishing analysis standards and practices. This role works closely with a number of teams across the company including product, engineering, marketing, and business development.This is a new area for our company, so you will be responsible for building a team and a new competency for Togo Group. In these early stages, you should be as comfortable ?doing? as you are ?directing.?

Where You're Located:

Candidates for this role will be based in the United States and can work remotely or in our Chicago or Cincinnati offices.

Your Impact:

  • Lead an experienced cross-functional team and serve as the subject matter expert on data management and analysis best practices.

  • Ensure all data practices adhere to internal rules and external laws/regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and that all data is securely stored and processed.

  • Create, refine, and bring to market new data products for use internally and with our external partners.

  • Ensure all data collection processes and tools function correctly on an ongoing basis.

  • Establish and enforce best practices and process for data analysis across the group.

  • Manage all internal reporting tools and platforms as it applies to data management and analysis.

  • Identify valuable new data sources and integrate them into existing data flows.

  • Support the product teams by delivering key insights into application performance and feature adoption.

  • Implement tools to allow for better, faster, and more effective data investigation, visualization, and analysis.

  • Develop and own ongoing documentation on all data protocols.

  • Create and maintain attribution tracking for all marketing activities along with ROI/ROAS analysis.

  • Champion the Togo Group culture, leading by example and delivering through the lens of our ?Rules of the Road?.

What You?ve Done Before:

  • 8-10+ years of progressive hands-on experience in managing large data management platforms, warehouses, and tools.

  • Integrating diverse data source and routing data to multiple destinations.

  • Experience leading teams of analysts, data managers, and data scientists.

  • Bringing new data products to market.

  • Experience with; Segment, Mixpanel, Firebase and Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, AWS Redshift and S3, BI insights tools (e.g., Looker, Mode, Domo), Klipfolio (or similar dashboard platforms), Braze, Sailthru, and Ad platforms.

  • Strong communication skills and experience working with highly technical teams.

  • Ability and experience to communicate technical detail with experts across product, engineering, and marketing.

  • Experience in data transformation, query writing (SQL), implementing and customizing data collection and tracking scripts with a technical understanding.
