The position reports to the Portfolio Management Team Lead and will support a number of asset managers. The primary function of the Special Assets Group/Portfolio Management-Credit Analyst will be to provide in depth financial analysis on problem commercial credits, restructure loans if needed, complete renewals and complete quarterly watch list reports for the special assets group.

nDuties and Responsibilities: n

n

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work mainly with the Portfolio Management Group in Special Assets. The position reports to the Portfolio Management Team Lead and will support a number of asset managers. Duties include, but are not limited to:





+ Underwriting and analyzing performing and distressed loans assisting the asset manager with resolution options including performing a NPV analysis of the various exit strategies to help to determine the Bank’s best course of action



+ Evaluating third party appraisals and valuing real estate and business assets



+ Analyzing real estate, business and personal financial statements and tax returns



+ Performing property level due diligence including market, physical and environmental condition as well as encumbrances on title, liens and building code violations



+ Writing clear and concise credit approval request documents



+ Extensively communicating with senior management including presentations (both written and verbal)



+ Maintaining well documented credit files



+ Following demonstrated proficiency, the Credit Analyst can actively manage a small portfolio of performing and distressed loans





nRequirements: n





+ Bachelor’s degree in Economics and/or Business discipline; real estate coursework desirable



+ 0-4 years of related financial analysis work experience



+ Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including intermediate to advanced knowledge of financial modeling and discounted cash flow analysis



+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling communication with individuals and teams at all levels of the organization



+ Strong analytical and reasoning skills, with well-developed ability to support assumptions and conclusions verbally and in writing



+ Proficiency in Microsoft suite including Word and PowerPoint



+ Attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple projects



+ Ability to independently think, learn, and work



+ Intellectual curiosity
