CNO Financial Group Busines Analyst in Chicago, Illinois
Under direction, the Business Analyst maintains responsibility for organizing, designing, and/or maintaining basic underwriting and vendor analysis in addition to KPI reporting. The Analyst will lead both ad-hoc and ongoing data analysis requests under direct supervision and will be responsible for turning data into user-friendly reports and visuals. Deliverables will support both individual management and/or the entire team. The Analyst will also provide project and organizational support as needed. This role will also gain exposure to vendor management and budgeting/forecast activities. Most analysis and reporting will be done through Microsoft Excel with occasions to present more formal summaries in Microsoft Word or PowerPoint as needed. This is a uniquely positioned role with high visibility for an entry-level candidate – great for those looking to grow quickly within the department and organization.
Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Vendor management support - aids in creating external vendor reporting; responsible for auditing monthly vendor invoices; supports management, as needed, in budget and reforecasting exercises
Maintains and creates KPI reporting for department
Summarizes lengthy reports for all lines of business on a monthly basis
Responsible for initial review of complex analysis performed by other team members by serving as second set of eyes on high visibility projects
Supports more senior team members in intensive technical analysis
Education and Experience:
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or related field
Typically up to three years of related work experience
Interest in life insurance industry a plus, but not required
