As an Analyst, Asset Management, you will be responsible for reporting on the performance of Invenergy’s operating portfolio of clean energy assets and Invenergy’s growing services business. This role provides a unique opportunity to apply financial planning and analysis skills while embedded within the Asset Management team, which has profit and loss responsibility for the operating portfolio. You will work closely with the VP, Asset Management, and collaborate with other teams across Invenergy, including Operations, Engineering, Commercial Execution, and Accounting.
Responsibilities include the following:
Create monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on the financial and operational performance of Invenergy’s operating portfolio for the Asset Management team, senior management, and outside investors
Develop and implement a new reporting regime for Invenergy’s services business
Analyze and explain variances between actual and expected performance by identifying key operational and commercial drivers in collaboration with the Asset Management, Operations, Commercial Execution, and Accounting teams
Provide modeling expertise to help drive efficiencies & standards for all reporting deliverables
Design and drive the implementation of processes and procedures to streamline and improve the existing reporting process
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics)
Demonstrated proficiency building financial models in Excel
1-3 years working in financial planning and analysis or similar function
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Intellectual curiosity and a commitment to high standards
Experience in the electric industry and familiarity with Oracle Fusion Cloud are a plus
