This position offers exciting opportunities with our expansion into electronics systems and innovation, and advanced development work including integrated design, development prototype, and function & durability validation. As a Systems Engineer - Autonomous Vehicles you will be the principal interface between the Autonomous Vehicle Team and the Innovation team to coordinate the development and implementation of the Autonomous Vehicle System utilizing a Systems Engineering approach. This includes collaboration with CNH internal teams (platform, electronics) to ensure the system is architected, developed and deployed in an efficient and consistent manner minimizing cost and risk.

Responsibilities

n

n

n

+ Responsible to develop requirements and associated system architecture to ensure a smooth advanced development project delivery

n

+ Translate stakeholder needs (Customer, Safety, Cybersecurity requirements) to System requirements

n

+ Work internally with the Autonomous team and Vehicle Platform teams to define the System Design and create documentation that meets system requirements

n

+ Create and maintain the system models at the operational, functional and architectural levels

n

+ Support testing (PV) team and GDP teams with robust verification and validation plans for all requirements

n

+ Manage System Architecture complexity along with Chief engineer, by managing trade-off decisions, to deliver on cost, quality and time

n

+ Ensure the use of engineering standards, methodologies and global product development processes into engineering team's daily work tasks

n

+ Coordinate co-design activities with suppliers

n

+ Support the development planning in line with GPD process (priorities, testing schedule, prototype definition

n

+ Create and maintain system FMEAs

n

+ Participate in Design reviews to provide assessment and support, where necessary, for concept selection

n

+ Support Product Manager on use case definition and customer level requirements

n

+ Have full understanding of customer needs, technology landscape and implementation requirements at the system level

n

+ Maintain system documentation to keep it consistent throughout the development

n

+ Provide regular progress updates to management on system progress

n

+ Maintain subject matter expertise and coach the team

n

+ Responsible for clarification and analysis of the needs, expectations, requirements from marketing and other stakeholders

n

+ Responsible for developing a relationship of trust and accountability with process partners and stakeholders within CNH




n

Qualifications

n

n The Qualified Candidate will have: n

n

n

+ B.S. Degree in Engineering - Electrical/ Systems/ Controls

n

+ 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering development

n

+ 5+ years of experience in Product engineering / Product development

n

+ 3+ years of experience with Model-based System Engineering

n

+ 3+ years of experience with Electronics Systems Verification

n

+ 3+ years of experience with Requirements' Management Tools (e.g. Doors, Polarion)

n

+ 3+ years of experience with Vehicle Communication Protocols (e.g. CAN, LIN, J1939, ISOBUS, XCP, UDS)

n

+ 3+ years of experience with Software Tools ( .g. CANalyzer, CANoe, INCA

n

+ 3+ years of experience with Project Management Tools (e.g. Microsoft Project)

n

+ candidate can be located in Burr Ridge IL or New Holland Pa


n

The preferred candidate will have experience with the following:

n

n

+ M.S. Degree in Electrical/ Systems/ Controls

n

+ Working knowledge and experience with Model-based System Engineering tools (e.g. Capella, SysML)

n

+ V-Model (SPICE, CMMi) and Agile (Scrum) Development Processes

n

+ Knowledge in Design for Six Sigma

n

+ Safety Standards (e.g. ISO 25119, ISO 26262)

n

+ Electro-Hydraulic controls system Off Highway/Onn Highway Mobile Equipment

n

+ Autonomous Vehicles (e.g. Infrared, Ultrasonic, Vision)

n

+ INCOSE certification

n

+ Electrical and electronics systems (SW, HW)

n

+ Ability to work as a team player in a technical environment

n

+ Knowledge of system architecture principles, methods and techniques

n

+ Ability to self-manage, multi task and learn new skills quickly

n

+ Excellent collaboration and facilitation skills
