The US based Quality Emissions & Powertrain Specialist will solicit, collect, analyze, summarize, and present technical information, develop and propose product improvement programs, conduct root cause analysis, solution development and solution validation for Engine and After Treatment System issues for Construction Equipment with our Powertrain group and external suppliers. He/she will also support the Platforms during powertrain / emissions related development in the planning, measurement, and achievement of target reliability levels at product launch.

Responsibilities

n

nResponsibilities Include but are not limited to:

n

n

+ Lead globally the Current Products Management process for Powertrain and ATS related topics for Construction Equipment with internal and external suppliers.

n

+ Lead, organize, and liaise with professional teams/solution providers including engine supplier, engineering, manufacturing, and peers to drive field and internal problem resolution.

n

+ Analyze warranty claims/data/statistics and ASIST concerns to quickly identify emerging issues to create technical improvement projects.

n

+ Support the powertrain group in creating and maintaining Quality & Reliability Roadmaps for engine and ATS families used on Construction Equipment units globally.

n

+ Collaborate with Powertrain group and Powertrain suppliers to develop action plans to achieve short and long range improvement targets.

n

+ Prioritize global field Quality & Reliability issues through the Current Products Management process. Engage Global Product Support, Commercial organization, Platforms and Engine Suppliers.

n

+ Measure and analyze key performance indicators, develop improvement plans and communicate them to stakeholders.

n

+ Research and understand powertrain/ATS, customer, and dealer dynamics to propose internal and field technical product improvement actions.

n

+ Negotiate with Powertrain & ATS suppliers technical responsibility for systemic field issues with the purpose of having proper coverage for Product Improvement Programs and warranty recovery.

n

+ Assure and support aggressive field execution of powertrain and ATS related product improvement programs.

n

+ Support Platforms by assessing reliability risk of new programs.

n

+ Participate in PRB (Problem Resolution Board), FMEAs, design reviews and lead advanced problem solving activities

+ Monitor and report warranty status vs. goal (F/100 and ACPU)

Qualifications

n

nThe qualified candidate will have:

n

n

+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality or related field

n

+ Five (5) or more years of experience in Quality or Engineering or Manufacturing role supporting engines and After-treatment systems for construction equipment, agricultural equipment and/or commercial vehicles industries, resulting in deep knowledge of engines and After-treatment syst ms compliant with current emissions level requirements for CE (Tier 4b in North America & Stage V in Europe).

nThe ideal candidate will have:

n

n

+ Three (3) or more years' experience with root cause analysis and validation tools

n

+ Three (3) or more years' experience working with statistical tools and/or analytics

n

+ One (1) or more years Product Validation Experience

n

+ One (1) or more years' experience with project management and working with cross-functional teams.

n

+ Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of tools, reliability and statistical analysis software

n

+ Ability to work with high level direction and formulate solutions independently
