Qualifications:

1-2 years customer service experience

• Communicates clearly, professionally and empathetically both verbal and written

• Ability to provide remarkable customer service in all interactions with agents and associates

• Ability to clearly communicate policies and procedures and connect with agents and team members over the phone

• Ability to handle multiple computer applications in a fast-paced collaborative team environment; detail oriented

• Ability to use a variety of resources to perform quality work

• Thrives on accountability to your team, your work and your schedule

• Highly prefer HS Diploma or GED

• Reliability, Dependability and Punctuality

• Experience with Microsoft Office software

Description:

Two distinct roles

  1. Production Role - processing policies. Ultimately will get more training and have a deeper level of knowledge on policies etc. This role requires sitting at a desk processing policies. Very production driven and fast paces. Someone that is very outgoing and that likes to move around will not do well in this role. Standard work process listing all items that should be in a policy and making sure the policy is complete. Critical thinking and detective type research work is required. Must be able to stay focused and be resourceful.

  2. Contact Center - broader based knowledge. Serves as primary contact for Agents and Agency employees that have questions or want to find out the status of a policy. Fast paced environment, processing customer transactions, etc. Must have strong written/verbal communication skills. Often times dealing with adverse situations (Ex: Billing issue, pricing issue, actual Premium vs. quoted premium, status of policy, errors on policies).

• Serves as a technical and procedural resource to assist in resolving policy/policyholder concerns

• Partners with underwriters to service Agency and Agency Leadership concerns and/or handles Producer/Broker inquiries

• Communicates with Policyholders, Agents, Producers, or third parties via various communication media, including chat and phone

• Handles various contact types (i.e., chat software and phone) to resolve Agent questions and issues

• Maintains and updates policyholder records

• Performs general mail desk responsibilities

• Has functional entry, servicing, and rating knowledge on common policies and all assigned policy programs; handles routine and non-routine entries, transactions and files

• Reviews and processes applications according to established referral guidelines

• Assists with telephone inquiries from agents, staff, and policyholders as needed

• Performs premium breakdowns, electronically and/or manually calculates rates

• Works special assignments/projects as directed

• Researches and corrects routine system errors

• Prepares/types and assembles routine policy forms, endorsements and filings

• Communicates with Agents, Producers, and third parties

• Types certified copies for policy coverage as requested

• Supplements training or is a resource for Underwriting Service Assistant personnel, staff, agents, and other associates

• Organizes and distributes work among unit members and serves as a lead worker in assigned area, as needed

• Works suspense account listings as requested

• May handle cash and/or credit card payments/processing

• May assist with the quality proficiency or quality improvement process

• May review and process state reporting requests and correspondence

• May handle auditable policy functions and routine premium collections

• Receives, opens, sorts, matches, and distributes mail and forms internally

• Directs outgoing mail to the Mail Center

• Follows established procedures to appropriately handle and distribute cash/checks, certified mail, registered mail, and returned mail

• Responsible for initial preparation of applications

• Prepares and delivers documentation to the Imaging Center

• Types and/or processes a variety of reports, endorsements, filings, form letters, and cancellation letters

• Enters miscellaneous system transactions as directed

• May specialize in a portion or product line of P&C Operations
