KI Industries, Inc., seeks an Account Manager to join our Sales Team. You'll be responsible to manage all aspects of customer relationships to maintain current business and maximize opportunities for long-term profitable growth. Using a consultative sales approach, you'll build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers by assessing their key business needs. With strong account leadership, you'll also convert current accounts and sell new products/technologies to current customers.

What your job looks like:

  • Work closely with current customers by visiting corporate procurement, production locations and technical design and development facility to gain involvement in all new projects.

  • Establish, strengthen and grow relations at all levels, departments and disciplines within the customer's organization.

  • Coordinate involvement of KI's design services and engineering resources with customer groups to maximize KI 's opportunity for design input.

  • Gather knowledge and understanding of the competitive environment at assigned accounts. Identify target pricing and negotiate pricing as necessary on new projects to result in award of business.

  • Provide forecast sales data for development of annual budget and quarterly rolling-twelve-month forecast.

  • Work with internal KI operations teams to communicate and resolve potential delivery/quality/obsolete materials/lead time issues.

  • Provide customer and market data for use in creation of Strategic Business and Marketing plans.

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree or equivalent in business or technical discipline.

Experience in selling B2B and managing OEM accounts with multiple product lines.

Experience managing appliance and/or automotive tier suppliers preferred.

Understanding of appliance and/or automotive quality standards, processes and procedures.

Ability to read part drawings, understand design concepts and provide design ideas.

Knowledge of decorative manufacturing processes and aesthetic quality expectations (plastics preferred).

Knowledge of injection molding and/or die casting processes preferred.

Understanding of materials planning, control and quality management systems.
